About 130 minutes if the kit matches the truck.

  1. Step 1 · 15 min

    Measure first

Record garage opening height, roof height, and hatch clearance with the vehicle on level ground. Open the hatch slowly after the carrier is mocked in place, before you load anything.

    Tools: tape measure

  2. Step 2 · 45 min

    Fit Thule Evo Flush Rail

Install Thule Kit 186082 Outlander flush (186082) with the 7106 feet. Follow the brand fit guide. Do not substitute pads.

    Tools: hex keys, torque wrench

See the brand instruction sheet for this kit. Do not guess.

  3. Step 3 · 25 min

    Mount 7112 crossbars

Set spread inside the carrier's allowed range. Confirm both bars are square to the vehicle and the T-slot orientation matches the carrier clamps.

    Tools: tape measure, torque wrench

Brand sheet for this bar/foot pair.

  4. Step 4 · 30 min

    Mount Thule Canyon XT

Center the carrier, then shift it forward if the hatch arc is close. Recheck garage height after it is bolted down.

    Tools: socket set, torque wrench

Carrier clamp spec from the brand sheet.

  5. Step 5 · 15 min

    Physical hatch and garage check

Open the hatch slowly. Drive into the garage with a spotter. The drawing is a first-order model. If anything is close, move the carrier forward or store the vehicle unladen.
