Nice project! For weatherproofing, I'd recommend IP67 rated strips at minimum, but honestly silicone potting compound on all connections is your best friend. The dust will find any weakness!

Working on an LED installation for this year - 2000 individually addressable LEDs making a portal you can walk through. Anyone have experience with weatherproofing large LED arrays?
